Virginia Junior Sheep Breeders Association

Picture
The Virginia Junior Sheep Breeders Association is a youth ran organization under the direction of the Virginia Sheep Producers Association.  The VJSBA was formed in 1992 when other breeds were added to the Virginia Junior Suffolk Association.  The Association now consists of Suffolks, Cheviots, Hampshires, Dorsets, Southdowns, and a commercial ewe division.  Any youth interested in sheep is encouraged to join the association.  The group of youth participates in food booths, educational events, and community activities throughout the state of Virginia.  Each year the Association puts on a show in August at the Rockingham County Fair.  Without the support of sheep breeders in the state, the VJSBA would not be of the quality it is today.
